Drinks 4 Now is an mobile first eCommerce website. The concept is to allow users to get alcohol delivered to their location. The project has three distinct users, the customer, the store and the driver, each of which have their own interface.
As the client has a strong background in the off license trade I was instructed to make sure that the needs of the store were at the core of the design. This resulted in the user being provided with a section of local off licenses, and then the products.
The client did not have extensive experience in web development so project direction had a few stumbling blocks along the way. Initially designed as an App and then later was revised to be a mobile first eCommerce Website.
These are a few of the initial pages designed for the app format. Although the focus didn't really change regarding the bulk of users accessing the product via their phone. Additional consideration had to be given to how the website would be displayed on tablet and PC.
The challenge with the user app was to make the process as intuitive as possible. The Interface is set up so the user can immediately search a specific item or browse the category of products they are looking for. By using this function they automatically select their nearest off license to shop from.
In the Product selection pages I added the option to view similar products & related special offers. This was well received by the client as their focus is on creating more business for the off licenses.
Knowing that delivery drivers will be short of time and usually working in poor lighting, I made the interface very simple and chunked the navigation at the top of the page.
Much like the driver app the Store interface is designed to be really simple to use. The store manager needs to be able to view new orders, confirm, decline and assign them to drivers.
